APPLIED STRUCTURE DRYING (ASD) CERTIFICATION

The Applied Structural Drying course covers the effective, efficient and timely drying of water-damaged structures and contents, using comprehensive classroom and hands-on training, in order to facilitate appropriate decision-making within a restorative drying environment. Students will experience live hands on use of instruments, extraction systems, drying equipment, and chemistry use in an actual flooded building situation.

This course is required by many insurance companies to participate in their preferred vendor programs. It will give owners and managers the opportunity to see and use a variety of the newest extraction and drying equipment, which can help in making equipment buying decisions for both new and veteran companies.

WATER RESTORATION TECH (WRT) APPLIED STRUCTURE DRYING TECH (ASD) COMBO CERTIFICATION

For those individuals who don’t have a lot of time to attend the individual WRT and ASD courses, the combination course will allow them to get both certification in a 5-day class period, along with all hands-on work that is normally accomplished in the ASD course. Two separate exams will be given—one for the WRT certification and one for the ASD certification. For information on each course, please review the WRT and ASD pages.



TRAUMA SCENE REMEDIATION (MR-211)

MR-211 is a comprehensive course covering trauma scene cleanup and decontamination. Attendees will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge required to properly evaluate, clean and decontaminate a site following a human trauma event. Certification is administered by the Restoration Sciences Academy. Students will be provided the opportunity to challenge the RSA MR-211 exam at the conclusion of the program.
